With a simple and straightforward aroma and nice rosy foam this is a sparkling
wine where the Baga variety shows once more its versatility. This is an essencially
gastronomic wine to go with wellseasoned courses specially the traditional Roast
Piglet from Bairrada.
This sparkling wine is produced with a traditional blend from the Quinta, an authentic
vintage of the Arinto and Maria Gomes varieties (3 months in a barrel) and red Baga
grape variety to give it the characteristic robustness of the great sparkling wines.
Created with great talent in one of the best terroir of the Bairrada region.
The slow and natural aging process of this spirit for 5 years in Limousin oak barrels
unraveled a surprising aromatic richness, flavours and colours but maintained the
initial nature of the wine without losing its real pleasant taste concentrating floral
aromas and finishing with a touch of vanilla thus designing a very peculiar style.
Cellar wines acquired prestige in the Bairrada region because of their good
performance during the evolution in bottle. At present we can witness their rebirth
without losing their previous sparkle and showing their subtlety thus offering the
consumer unique and amazing wines. This cellar wine shows, with some aging,
complex aromas and goof fruit which care for a long life span.
The various terroir from Bairrada region have excellent conditions to produce white
wines of great quality and great aging potential. The São Domingos white wines have
been presenting the highest level of freshness, fine mouth and balanced acidity and
have been contributing to change the habits of the average consumer.
The Krohn Colheita Ports are of high quality Ports that have to be matured in wood
for at least seven years. They remain in wood for long periods, and acquire with time
the characteristic mahogany colour of the old Tawnies, a fine and complex bouquet,
a nutty character and a silky texture.
